For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar. Add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter for added texture and flavor. To prevent the top of the bread from browning too quickly, tent it with aluminum foil during the last 15-20 minutes of baking. This bread is even better the next day, after the flavors have had a chance to meld.
